Prior to becoming a mold inspector, Brian Karr of WeInspect appears to have dabbled in the film world, operating LLCs with a Jason Lockhart called “An American Lie, LLC” and “Angry Leo, LLC”. Curiously enough, Angry Leo, LLC produced a film entitled “Casting Couch” in approximately 2013, which to no surprise, received poor reviews as indicated by an internet search, as the film appears to mock the abuse of women in Hollywood. Brian’s brief Hollywood stint earned him a page on IMDB which reads

“Born and raised in Las Vegas, Brian is no stranger to bright lights and larger than life productions. After earning his degree in Marketing at UNLV he began his career as an advertising executive, and within a short amount of time was playing a major role for one of the most iconic global brands in recent history - Las Vegas, ‘What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas.’

Brian's Vegas experiences made his much-anticipated move to LA anything but overwhelming. He picked up right where he left off marketing Chevrolet, but soon he transitioned to the entertainment industry through campaigns for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Star Trek, The A-Team, Knight and Day, Kick Ass, and more. Now as a producer Brian brings valuable marketing and budgeting experience to his projects, which enables his team to efficiently produce high quality content that is geared to sell.”

Meet Michael Rubino. He founded a mold remediation company, HomeCleanse, but in an e-mail from May 5, 2025, he stated he is on the Board of HomeCleanse - along with the advisors of the company Gwyneth Paltrow (I question if she even cleans her own home) and Deepak Chopra (what either of them know about indoor air quality issues and mold is beyond me - good luck getting them to qualify as experts in this arena in a court of law on these matters - I can tell you no court would acknowledge them as experts).

In a press statement, it is said Rubino is “a council-certified Mold Remediation Supervisor by ACAC and IICRC”. This is a lie. Per my prior post, you’ll see Rubino is certified as a mere “Water Damage Restoration Technician”, from the IICRC, which to me is like me saying because I got my B.A. from Syracuse I also got my PhD in computer engineering and my MBA from there so let me run Apple now.

You may be asking how Rubino is related to the Levys. Well he married, none other, than Colby Levy, who appears to be Steve Levy’s daughter and Corey Levy’s sister based on findings from publicly available databases. Their publicly available wedding registries show they were married in 2016. Rubino himself does not hide his connection to Colby, per the biography on his own site: “As fate would have it, his wife, Colby, grew up in a family consisting of some of the nation's leading mold inspectors. They quickly confirmed Michael's concerns with how poorly the current remediation industry was addressing homes.” I feel like I’m at a Redneck Family Reunion now trying to make sense of everything…if Brian Karr and Corey Levy are proclaimed cousins, and Rubino married Corey’s sister…I suppose that means Brian Karr and Michael Rubino are cousins?
