Why do HomeCleanse and Change the Air Foundation have the same address with Michael Rubino appearing at the helm of both? And what is Deepak Chopra's connection to them?

ICYMI (In Case You Missed It): HomeCleanse was hired to remediate my home and disaster resulted, which you will see in my prior posts.

What’s curious (in my opinion) is that the contract was signed with HomeClease noting Michael Rubino as president and the address for HomeCleanse being
“HomeCleanse Services LLC
Attn: Michael Rubino, President
1712 Ginesi Drive, Suite 1
Freehold, NJ 07728”. See below.

ICYMI: In an e-mail after the contract was executed, Rubino indicated to the contrary, saying he was chairman of the board of HomeCleanse and “not involved in day-to-day operations”. See below.

What is odd, in my opinion, is that a tax filing submitted by Change the Air Foundation last year and the year prior, indicate the exact same address for HomeCleanse1.

At the same time, a filing with the Florida Division of Corporations indicates a different suite number at the same address.

What’s also odd - in my opinion - is the 2022 filing indicates Corey Levy is a director of Change the Air - as you see from my “Mold Monopoly” article, Corey appears to be Rubino’s brother-in-law, as well as the co-founder of their business “The Dust Test”2. My article also shows you Corey is also the co-founder of WeInspect3 with his so-called cousin, Brian Karr4, who appears to be Corey’s cousin vis-a-vis his marriage to Corey’s actual cousin Nicole Levy5.

What I also find odd - in my opinion - is the plethora of videos on Change the Air’s Youtube channel6 the Levy/Rubino/Karr family (check out my Mold Monopoly article for the deets on this fam tree). In fact, the very first video is none other than Rubino himself, discussing remediation7. What bothers me about the video is Rubino is introduced as the president and co-founder of Change the Air, with his background featuring his company logo (then named All American Restoration and a print of the cover of his book “The Mold Medic” - to see how that compares to his business in action, check out my prior articles). What also bothers me is Rubino is wearing wireless earpods/earbuds, which are known for creating EMF, which exacerbates mold - more on that in an upcoming article, or you can even watch Change the Air’s own videos, including another video featuring Rubino himself discussing EMF8. But what I find most concerning is Rubino apparently promoting his own video in the company - in my opinion, describing how his own company works throughout it and even boasting “we don't use any harsh chemicals whatsoever in our process […] with regards to encapsulat[ing …] it's a preventative measure so it's not utilized to remediate it's utilized to help prevent […] future mold growth in that area […] so for those who think you can just paint over [mold] unfortunately you cannot”. Rubino also brags in the video “there's a good story I can tell you about a client that we had had […]”. Curiously enough, Rubino also discusses the importance of attic ventilation, yet ICYMI, when HomeCleanse was hired to “remediate” my home, they essentially painted the attic as far as the eye can see, even the ridge vents, blocking ventilation in my home. Rubino also brags about the clarity of his company’s contract.
In another video, “The Basics of How Our Homes Impact Our Health”9, Rubino is introduced as the founder of HomeCleanse, and then the president of Change the Air. Unfortunately, this topic could have been a great opportunity for Change the Air to interview a healthcare provider, likely more knowledgeable about the health aspects than Rubino - in my opinion. Rubino is featured yet again in another video, again speaking about the health aspects of mold10.
Change the Air also features videos of Rubino interviewing the other members on the board of his company, HomeCleanse - Gwyneth Paltrow11 and Deepak Chopra12 - more about his apparent connection (in my opinion, based on research) to Change the Air later. Former Change the Air director, Rubino’s apparent brother-in-law and co-founder of the Dust Test, Corey Levy, is also in a number of Change the Air’s videos, as is Brian Karr, the co-founder of WeInspect with Corey Levy and Rubino’s apparent cousin vis-a-vis marriage, and Mark Levy, Brian’s apparent father-in-law. Starting to sound like a redneck family reunion at this point - in my opinion.
As George Carlin once said “It’s a big club and you’re not in it.”
Justin Nahama, Esq., an attorney and strategic advisor to Change the Air13 seems a bit of an outsider - it does not seem handles environmental toxic tort issues, real estate issues, personal injury issues, or anything of the sort per his biography on Change the Air’s website nor his biography on the website where he is a founding partner and “Chief Wellbeing Officer”.14. But he is apparently friends with Deepak Chopra. The biography on his firm website highlights “According to Deepak Chopra, ‘There is chaos and turbulence in the world, but all great changes are preceded by chaos . . . with Justin's help, we will focus on the quantum leap to creativity for health, joy, love, harmony and laughter.’” Nahama’s biography also states he is the “Chief Impact Advisor” to Deepak Chopra. Although I’m east-coast based, this is the oddest most clout-toting biography with irrelevant information - in my opinion. I hire my lawyers based on their expertise, talent, skill, and experience, not whether or not they bring joy to the world. However, I will be the first person to say that many people probably think I am odd - I’m from the “Oregon Trail Generation”, probably the last generation to remember Gwyneth Paltrow even acted - and I like Hello Kitty, joke that I’m OCD (Obsessed with Cute Dogs), research PubMed and make memes for fun, and love reality trash TV - especially 90 Day Fiance. I’m also a rising Aries though, so cut me a break - please - my moon sign is Cancer so I’m sensitive AF. And most people IRL who meet me don’t even believe I’m a lawyer “because [I’m] too nice” and my sense of humor15. One thing that stands out about Nahama is despite Change the Air’s assertions they are not affiliated with the businesses, I obtained documentation that previously Nahama was private counsel to the The Mold Guy, which does make me question whether he is now serving as counsel to its predecessor, WeInspect - see below.

I don’t doubt that Change the Air does good work - I know they do.
In fact, I have volunteered with them, as they even point out in their own annual report, which you will see below - I have to say “ouch” though for missing the Esq. after my name and the names of other volunteers on their list though.

But I do see enough now in hindsight that I will not be working with them even if I wanted to - their lawyer sent me a “cease and desist” letter when I voiced my concerns. You would think the concerns of another attorney, with my work background (I won’t go into the details), and noted as a volunteer for the organization, would get a bit more respect, but that’s ok. While there is strength in numbers, I also know “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13
P.S. In attempts to clear the air and educate those who don’t seem to understand certain legal terms, I want to state that facts aren’t defamation. Opinion isn’t defamation. I’m not seeking or have taken money, property or anything of material value by threatening to accuse someone of a criminal offense. I’m a nonviolent pacifist except in the case of self-defense but I hope I never have to resort to that.

I had to put a footnote because you know, they’re cool. And being a nice person with a sense of humor are also the traits of a good lawyer - IMHO. What client wants a lawyer to be an a*hole to him/her and also a*hole lawyers don’t do well before juries. These traits can also catch the opposing side off guard. #TheArtOfWar ↩
